I’m a big fan of CLAMP and their works. I had been downloading Tsubasa Chronicles then at fansub.tv, that was January 2007, and while browsing on the latest comments, I read something about “The Top 20 Best Anime of 2007” …nope, Naruto wasn’t even close on the top neither Bleach, sorry to disappoint the fans. Yes, it was Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion or Kōdo Giasu: Hangyaku no Rurūshu . And I was like, what in the hell is this anime?! How come it beats Naruto and Bleach? Not only that this anime rained on top, the main characters like Lelouch Lamperouge, landed as the best male anime character and C.C. and Kallen Kōzuki paved their way on the top 5 for best female anime character. Yes, I was intrigued and got curious. The full episode was already downloadable at realitylapse then, so I was able to grab a copy of it and to my surprise, it does have a reason to reside on the zenith.
The first season, introduces Lelouch, his siblings, the overpowering of the Holy Empire of Britannia towards the Japanese, how Lelouch acquired Geass from C.C. and he used it to control other people, become a hero for the Japanese and the number one enemy for his lineage and countrymen. There was unending twist and turns and every episode sure do leave you craving for the next one.
Early this year, season 2 was released and season one fans are enjoying every bit of it. It is beyond our expectations, it beats season one. The ending was never like Death Note, this one is unforgettable. The value is still intact and rewarding.
R2 focuses on Lelouch and his overwhelming power and ingenuity. He was able to conquer everything, from his siblings to his parents and in the end drop all of it, even his life to let everyone live the way he wanted them to live. All for his great love to his sisters Nunnally and Euphemia. And also for the honor of his best friend Suzaku Kururugi who was able to obtain the mask of Zero and gave hope to all humanity. Thus, the hero who killed the ultimate antagonist of their country and of their lives.

at first I can’t even beleive why people are so addicted to code geass and why it beated naruto…. duhhhhh* then when I watched it I was like…. wooooooooooooowwwww….. very good story line…. not boring at all…. now I’m changing my last name to vi brittania….
